Automatic reconnect (Google Chrome).

iMetrology supports automatic reconnection to previously authorized Bluetooth devices. To enable this feature in Google Chrome:

  1. Open the Chrome flags page.
  2. Find Web Bluetooth New Permissions Backend
  3. Set the option to Enabled.
  4. Restart Google Chrome.
  5. Reconnect your Bluetooth device once.

Once enabled, iMetrology can reconnect to previously paired devices without displaying the Bluetooth device selection dialog each time.

How To Connect a Device

  1. Turn on your measuring device.
  2. Make sure Bluetooth is enabled on your computer.
  3. Click Add Device in the navbar.
  4. Select your measuring instrument from the browser Bluetooth dialog.
  5. The device card and measurement table will appear automatically.

calibration support

Supported devices can provide calibration due dates. iMetrology displays calibration status and can trigger device-side warnings for supported Sylvac instruments.

Troubleshooting

Device not found

  • β€’ Make sure the device is powered on.
  • β€’ Verify that Bluetooth is enabled.
  • β€’ Move closer to the device.
  • β€’ Disconnect from other computers or devices.

Device connects but no measurements appear.

  • β€’ Check device battery.
  • β€’ Verify streaming mode.
  • β€’ Use the Value button.
  • β€’ Check foot switch.

Bluetooth dialog does not appear

  • β€’ Use Chrome, Edge or Brave.
  • β€’ Check browser permissions.
  • β€’ Web Bluetooth is not supported by Firefox.

Sound does not work

  • β€’ Enable the Sound button.
  • β€’ Check system audio.
  • β€’ Allow browser audio playback.
